The challenge
ISB wanted to move from a limited online offering to a next-generation learning experience for executives and working professionals, with social learning, gamification, advanced analytics and modern user experience standards, and with the ability to scale to very large cohorts.
Our solution
Quantana partnered with ISB from the design stage through development and has continued to extend the platform in a series of phased engagements. These have covered the learner platform, mobile applications, generative AI, programme administration and performance dashboards.
Scope and delivery
The engagement began in October 2022 with the web application delivered in two milestones, in December 2022 and February 2023. Further phases followed in 2023 and 2024, each defined by a statement of work, a design reference and agreed milestones. Quantana continues to support the platform through dedicated resources working alongside the ISB platform team.
Key capabilities
- Web application: learner enrolment, onboarding, social login, free course trial, programme management, points and badges, certificates, timed quizzes, ranking, analytics and reports, email and WhatsApp notifications
- Skills Hub mobile application: teacher and student journeys, SMS enrolment, QR invitations, leaderboards, offline mode and gamification
- ISB Online mobile apps for iOS and Android, with white-labelling support
- Generative AI in lessons: learner interaction after videos, during multiple-choice and open-response questions, and end-of-lesson messages, with programme-level admin control
- ISB Online 2.0: review quizzes, programme policy upgrades for points and retries, Zoom attendance, video migration and a new browser player
- Career Trajectories companion app for students, alumni and professionals, built on ISB's own AI APIs
- Learner dashboards and programme manager dashboards, including gradebooks with CSV download and programme reports
